OWV at COP30 – Bringing Space and Water Together in Belém

The One Water Vision (OWV) initiative will take part in COP30, to be held in Belém, Pará, Brazil, from November 10 to 21, 2025.
This COP is designed not only as a negotiation forum, but as a true global platform for delivery, innovation, and partnership.

Why COP30 matters for water
In a context of intensifying climate stress, healthy water systems are not only about availability but also about quality, resilience, and equity. Freshwater ecosystems, forests, and agricultural landscapes are all interconnected, and their protection is essential for both people and nature.
For OWV, the thematic days of COP30 in mid-November (10th to 13th) are particularly relevant, as they bring water to the forefront alongside technology, science, and artificial intelligence.

OWV events at COP30
OWV will showcase the use of Earth observation and satellite data to support sustainable water governance, agriculture, and ecosystem protection. Together with partners, we will emphasize how science and technology can deliver concrete solutions for resilience.

You will find OWV at:

  • Blue Zone (to be confirmed): Event on satellites, water management, and forests – organized in partnership with the French Water Partnership (PFE), the Central African Forest Commission (COMIFAC), and the International Network of Basin Organizations (INBO).
  • French Pavilion (to be confirmed): OWV will join discussions with French and international actors to highlight synergies between space technologies, ecosystems, and water governance.
  • Agrizone – Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (EMBRAPA):
    • November 12th, 14:00–15:15
    • Auditorium 2, Travessa Dr. Enéas Pinheiro Marco, C.P. 48, Belém, Pará
    • Theme: Agriculture & Satellites – bridging science and practice for sustainable land and water management
    • Organized in partnership with the International Network of Basin Organizations (INBO).

Join us in Belém to explore how space technologies, water management, forests, and agriculture can work hand in hand to shape a resilient and inclusive future.
