The World Water Forum 2027 will be the world’s largest process-based gathering focused on concrete action for water, with more than 150+ countries bringing together political leaders, scientists, businesses, and civil society organizations.

Main theme: “Action for a better tomorrow”, emphasizing turning water commitments into real, measurable impact.

Six main thematic areas structure the Forum:

  • Water Security – strengthening water security and resilience
  • Water Finance – financing sustainable and innovative solutions
  • Water for Humans and Nature – balancing human and environmental needs
  • Innovation for Water Management – promoting innovative tools for water governance
    • OWV is participating in the organization of the Topic 5E – Knowledge Sharing
    • OWV is participating in the organization of the Topic 5C – Data and Overcoming the Lasting Challenge
    • OWV is leading the organization of the Topic 5A – Hydro Informatics & AI Tools for Water Management
  • Value of Water – recognizing water’s critical role for sustainable development
