XIX World Water Congress

We are pleased to highlight that the International Network of Basin Organizations (RIOB), a key partner of the One Water Vision Initiative (OWV), will be present at the World Water Congress 2025 in Marrakech (1–5 December).

During the Special Session 8.7, “From ground to orbit: combining in-situ and satellite monitoring of water to improve basin management” (Friday 5 December, 8:30–10:00, Morocco), RIOB will share insights on the use of satellite observations to complement ground-based measurements, illustrating how this approach can support basin management, resilience, and sustainable water governance.

This session will also showcase the role of the One Water Vision in connecting scientific expertise, space agencies, and local stakeholders, highlighting the added value of integrating satellite and in-situ data for decision-making and climate adaptation.
